Scheduling

Please schedule online through the online scheduling portal, or call our administrative assistant, Tiffany, at 678-999-3390. You may also submit the form below to get a call back from the scheduling assistant.

Fees

Initial sessions (80 minutes) are $100 and all regular 45 minute sessions are $75 per session thereafter. If you are in need of even lower rates, please visit our "Low Cost Counseling Services in Atlanta" web page for additional counseling resources in the Atlanta area. David offers counseling services at a very reduced rate, so that we may reach further into our community and provide services to those who may not otherwise afford it or have access to care or resources. Insurance is not accepted, and these services cannot be counted towards insurance deductibles.

Approach

Sometimes, we all need objective emotional assistance from a trained perspective to find new insights that can move us towards positive changes in our lives. I have been in the social services arena for 20 years with widely diverse populations experiencing crisis and life challenges.

My approach is strength-based and client focused, working collaboratively to help my clients identify goals and take steps towards alleviating their stressors and improving their overall quality of life. I believe that therapy provides a safe, supportive, and guiding environment which can challenge us all to learn, heal, and change.

Background

Following the completion of a Master’s degree in Family Studies at Auburn University, I served two years overseas as a Peace Corps Volunteer. I returned to Georgia in 1998 and have worked with families experiencing healthcare and disabilities for the last twenty years. When not working, I enjoy the gym, traveling, and scuba diving. But mostly I enjoy being a husband to my friend and wife, as well as being the lucky father to two beautiful children.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

I am currently completing a Masters of Family Counseling at Mercer University, and I completed a Master’s of Science in Family Studies from Auburn University, and my undergraduate education in Psychology from the University of Georgia.

Supervision

I receive my primary clinical supervision from several faculty of Mercer University. Stephanie Cook, LCSW, owner of Counseling ATL, LLC, also provides me with mentoring and supervision on site.
