Right now, you may feel frustrated with the problems in your life. Perhaps you feel dissatisfied with yourself or your relationship. Maybe you are struggling with something from your past. Even if you have never tried counseling before, you may have reached the point where something needs to change.
You can experience personal growth and better relationships—counseling can help.
Hi, my name is Stephanie Cook, and I am a licensed clinical social worker, psychotherapist, and owner of Counseling ATL, LLC, a small counseling practice. I appreciate this opportunity to share with you more information about me and my counseling practice.
With more than a decade of clinical experience working in the mental health field, I have helped people from diverse backgrounds with a variety of concerns. I completed a two-year clinical fellowship at Emory University, in Atlanta, Georgia, where I provided counseling to students, faculty, employees, and their families. While working at Ridgeview Institute, a psychiatric and addiction treatment program, I provided therapy and education for adolescents and their families.
I offer counseling to couples, adults, teens, and families, as well as quarterly Gottman couples workshops, continuing education for therapists, and speaking engagements for groups. I'm passionate about helping people create better lives and relationships by providing the most updated, effective, and evidence-based methods of counseling available.
I currently have a very limited availability due to a very full practice, and will not take new clients until August 2018; however, I am pleased to provide reduced cost counseling on the evenings and weekends, thanks to our counseling internship partnership with Mercer University.
- Gottman Method Couples Therapy, a research-based form of couples therapy, which is highly structured and goal-oriented, and is designed to help couples increase intimacy, better manage conflict, and build healthy, lasting relationships.
