Serving Individual and Couples
Your relationships and your ability to connect with your truest self, others and the world around you has everything to do with how satisfied you feel about your life. You might be looking into seeing a therapist because your relationship is strained or maybe you have a desire to experience some relief from other stressful circumstances. Whether your marriage, your relationship with family or maybe career challenges has you feeling stuck, your decision to seek professional counseling from a seasoned, skilled therapist is a good decision.
I pursued graduate study to be a professional counselor 23 years ago and for 18 years I have been providing therapy services for people of all ages. I have seen time and time again that when I work with my clients together with emphasis on creating and improving meaningful connections with self and others, life just gets better. Having trained with Drs. John and Julie Gottman in addition to obtaining extensive training in a number of other effective therapeutic models, I help couples heal and grow where their relationship is suffering. When helping individuals who come to therapy, my emphasis on the quality of relationship connections is key to not only developing helpful insight but cultivating a plan for navigating life and relationships in a way that ultimately brings greater joy and more peace.
I know it is not an easy thing to take that first step to initiate therapy services but once you take that first step and show up for your first appointment, our time together will provide you some immediate relief and hope for easier and better days ahead. Please call the office to set up your first appointment and I will look forward to helping you soon.

Right after graduating from Rhodes College in Memphis, I worked for a busy downtown Atlanta family law firm. My initial interest in going on to become an attorney waned when I realized the part of the work I loved the most was talking with clients and being of support during their times of stress and difficulty. I knew then that my true calling was to be a helping professional.
I studied to become a teacher of meditation and yoga after practicing myself for many years and became passionate about seeing life and wellbeing from a holistic perspective.
I went on to work in higher education supporting young adults and their parents through the transition process from high school to college and I began graduate studies in psychology and counseling. I finished my masters degree in 2002 and had a passion for helping children, couples and families.
From 2003 – 2007 I served at the Family Service Director and Preschool Counselor for an early childhood development center implementing a social emotional learning program I designed and providing play therapy for children, family counseling and parenting and teacher training services.
In 2007 I founded a group private practice that focused on child and family services. I obtained training in marriage and couples counseling with the Georgia Adlerian Society, Imago training and then with Drs. John and Julie Gottman in 2009 and 2010. I also completed 200 hours of play therapy and supervisory training and received my Registered Play Therapist- Supervisor (RPT-S) credential in 2010 and began providing supervision and training for therapists.
From 2010 to present I have brought my holistic perspective to all of the work I do assisting people of all ages in growing, healing and improving their connections to self, others and community.
I’ve served my own community as a Red Cross Disaster Mental Health volunteer, an Early Childhood Specialist and Consultant, a Collaborative Divorce Child Specialist, an Experienced- Registered Yoga Teacher, a Certified Canfield Success Coach & Trainer, a Self-Care Advocate & Trainer, and many other volunteer positions.
My 17 years of clinical experience focusing on helping couples, children, families and helping therapists grow in their careers has all been richly rewarding! Now that my own children are all grown and flown from the nest, I am enjoying focusing on my counseling work with couples and adults and continuing to support therapists who are growing their careers.
