Marriage Counseling & Couples Therapy In Atlanta

Build The Kind Of Love That Lasts

You remember being in love. When it just felt right. But lately, you’re disconnected, and it’s been so long since you’ve felt that way about each other. Perhaps you feel misunderstood, hurt, or lonely. Maybe you’re struggling with something that recently happened--or that happened a long time ago--and your relationship never really recovered. Or it’s been a long, slow drifting apart. Whether you’re fighting all the time, or you never even talk anymore, you just keep falling back into the same dysfunctional pattern, and you just don't know how to change it.. You’re determined to have a better relationship than your parents, and their parents. You love your partner, and you’re determined to find lasting happiness..

Experts Who Care

We are the only group practice in Atlanta specializing exclusively in Gottman Method couples therapy, and our team is led by Atlanta’s only certified Gottman Method Therapist, Stephanie Cook, LCSW. All of our therapists have intensive training in the Gottman Method, Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT), and TEAM-CBT, among many other specialized trainings.

We have two convenient locations in Atlanta (Buckhead and Poncey Highlands) and also offer convenient online video sessions as well, seven days per week, including nights and weekends, at a variety of pricing options. Our other services include couples workshops, continuing education for counselors, and pre-marital and pre-commitment counseling and groups.

We start couples therapy by using the most thorough and scientific relationship assessment on the market. When you schedule your first schedule session, you’ll meet together (1.5 hours), then separately for one individual session (1 hour each) before "regular" couples therapy begins. You’ll wear a pulse oximeter and discuss an area of disagreement so that your therapist can observe you (and your heart rate!) while you talk. You will also complete a very thorough online 450 item questionnaire through the Gottman Institute, called the "Relationship Checkup" (1-2 hours to complete).
