Couples Therapy Book Club

A Book Club for the licensed couples therapist who loves learning...

Sometimes emergencies happen. Mental health agencies with many clinicians often provide 24 hour, “on call” coverage after hours and on weekends. Because I am a solo practitioner, unfortunately I cannot provide this kind of emergency coverage for my clients. However, sometimes urgent mental health issues arise and you may wish to speak with someone immediately; if this happens, I recommend that you call the Georgia Crisis & Access line (1-800-715-4225 ) which is staffed 24 hours per day every day of the week with counselors. If you live outside of Georgia, I encourage you to call 1-800-273-TALK (8255).

If you are experiencing a life threatening emergency, please call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room.

About our Book Club

  • Read (or re-read) some of the most relevant books related to couples therapy

  • Be part of lively discussion among therapists about the book and similar cases

  • Earn CEUs! Licensed masters level Georgia clinicians who have read and are able to pass a quiz on each book (must achieve 80% or more) will earn 2 CEUs. This book club has been approved by the Georgia Society for Clinical Social Work for 2 continuing education credits per book club meeting (for LCSW/LMFT/LPC).

  • Connect with other clinicians to grow their professional skills, network, and learn from their peers

  • Hold yourself accountable to your own professional growth!

  • Come to one or come to all!

We will meet in the Poncey-Highlands area of Atlanta, either at my office if the group is smaller, or at a nearby coffee shop or restaurant if the interest is large enough.
