For Couples Who Have Experienced an Affair, Infidelity, or Cheating
The Gottman Institute put it best:
“No one can know the true pain and anguish that the two of you are going through right now. We understand some of what you are experiencing. It is awful to have been betrayed, and to have done the betraying. In our lives we have also hurt others, for which we have sought atonement, soul searching and healing.
We know that you are questioning every part of your lives now, and looking for what’s real, and what you can hold on to. Perhaps everything seems to have been shattered. You are desperately trying to understand what happened, and what went wrong with your life and your relationship.
Your pain is intense. We know that if you are beginning the tentative journey to rebuild trust and heal this relationship, you probabaly feel on shaky ground right now. That’s totally understandable.
What we have to offer the two of you is our clinical and personal knowledge, and also truths that have emerged from creating a science of trust and betrayal. We now understand a great deal about the process of healing. However, we’re not going to tell you that healing from betrayal is easy and in a few fast steps you will be fine. The journey will be hard. It is going to take energy, and it is going to take time and it will be a painful journey.
But we can offer you some hope. HEaling is totally achievable if you both are open to hard work and making it happen with some expert guidance. We hope we can guide you in a way that makes this painful process a little bit easier, and more likely to work out. We will support you both the whole way.
We believe in you.”

We believe that therapy is an important decision and investment of time and money; you want to make sure you are making the right choice. Having a "good fit" between a client and therapist is critical for a successful outcome. This is why we offer a free 30 minute initial phone or video consultation if you would like to meet any of us before deciding whether or not you would like to work with us. Here are some tips for choosing the right therapist.
Also, if you cannot afford our services, are not able to see a counselor in-network with your insurance company, or need low fee counseling services, please consider contacting one of the training facilities, community counseling centers or educational institutions in Georgia we’ve compiled on this list. Although we are not able to see every couple at a reduced cost, your ability to afford treatment should never be a barrier to getting help, and thankfully there are many privately and publicly funded agencies that can help!
