Online Video Counseling for Couples and Individuals

For many people, it can be difficult to schedule an in-person counseling session. Busy schedules, frequent travel, living far from quality therapists, military duty, long-distance relationships, childcare issues, anxiety, physical limitations, or limited transportation are a few of the many possible barriers to seeking help. We offer online sessions to make counseling more feasible for my clients.

We offer a variety of secure, confidential technology services to save time and enhance your counseling experience. You will have 24/7 access through the secure client area to view our availability, schedule and re-schedule counseling sessions, and complete paperwork and assessments online. Our counseling center has been pioneering the trend towards online therapy for adults and couples since 2011 when we first opened our doors.

It Just Makes Sense

Research has shown that distance counseling, whether through online video or telephone, can be just as effective as face-to-face counseling. In couples therapy, you may see your counselor sitting together in front of one screen, or you may both be sitting in entirely different locations.

Here are some of the necessary requirements for online video sessions:

Smartphone, tablet, laptop or desktop computer

Internet connection or wireless network

Privacy (such as an office or dorm room where you can be alone, without interruption)

For online video sessions, your counselor will send you a link immediately prior to your session time to the email address we have on file. Simply click the link and you will be connected directly with your counselor. We will be using Google Meet which is a confidential, secure platform that complies with current HIPAA privacy laws. If you have any questions at all or difficulty connecting to the session please call us at 678-999-3390! We are here to help.

Phone Counseling

Telephone counseling is similar to in-person or online counseling. Sometimes my clients prefer telephone counseling due to the convenience, or use it as an additional type of counseling when they are traveling. Having a session via telephone is a great way to make counseling more feasible. Phone sessions are scheduled just like in-person or video counseling sessions, either through the online client portal or by calling us at 678-999-3390. When it is time for our phone session, I will call you at the phone number you provide.

We accept debit/credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Discover and American Express) and many HSA cards are accepted, but you will need to verify that your account has sufficient funds prior to meeting with us.

Please note that 48 hour advance cancellation of scheduled appointments is required in order to avoid being charged for the full session fee.

We believe that therapy is an important decision and investment of time and money; you want to make sure you are making the right choice. Having a "good fit" between a client and therapist is critical for a successful outcome. This is why we offer a free 30 minute initial phone or video consultation if you would like to meet any of us before deciding whether or not you would like to work with us. Here are some tips for choosing the right therapist.

Also, if you cannot afford our services, are not able to see a counselor in-network with your insurance company, or need low fee counseling services, please consider contacting one of the training facilities, community counseling centers or educational institutions in Georgia we’ve compiled on this list. Although we are not able to see every couple at a reduced cost, your ability to afford treatment should never be a barrier to getting help, and thankfully there are many privately and publicly funded agencies that can help!
