Start the Year by Building a Strong Connection With Your Partner

We hope this newsletter finds you well and excited for the new year. At Couples Counseling ATL, we're thrilled to be back and fully prepared to guide and support you through your relationship journey. Whether you're facing challenges or looking to strengthen your bond, our team is here for you every step of the way. Here's to a year of love, connection, and thriving relationships!

Today’s newsletter focuses on Relationships and Conflict; chances are your partner has made you upset, disappointed, or hurt your feelings at some point in time. Feeling angry is pretty normal when someone hurts us, but what we choose to do with that anger is crucial for the health our relationships.

Anger is a universal human emotion that we all experience; however it can often spread like a fire and can be very destructive.  When we're angry, we might say or do things that we regret later. Acting on anger can push away the people we love the most and harm our relationships. Instead of getting even or seeking revenge, finding healthy ways to deal with anger is essential to maintain a healthy relationship.

If you're feeling vengeful, take a moment to pause and breathe. Remind yourself of the love you have for the person, despite their actions. Hurting them back won't make things better. Instead, find the willpower to approach the situation with the intention of rebuilding or improving the relationship. With the intention of rebuilding, improving the relationship or at least communicating your anger in a healthy way.

Managing intense emotions can be challenging, and that's okay. We all need some help along the way. If you're looking for guidance, visit www.counselingatl.com too book a free consultation or your first couples session. Here's to a year of growth, understanding, and healthier relationships!
